We are not able to analysis your exact issue only based on the screenshot which you provided.

In your case, if the same issue happen in future, please uninstall and reinstall the software manually, it helps.

In your case, please note that you are not able to set to split your exited backup images to 2GB, and you can only set the backup splitting manually to 2GB when you set up a new backup task.

For your question, the answer is Yes, the task's setting will be stored in the "Schedule" even your backup is not a scheduled backup.

Our software currently does not support delete the backup images automatically for SQL backup, but this will be available in next version.
