PCTrans - permissions problem

Postby clarkac » Mon Aug 15, 2016 5:46 pm

I recently purchased PCTrans and am using to migrate users data from a local signon to a domain signon on the same Windows 7 PC. When the user signs on to the domain they get a new desktop without their old, local data. When I then use PCTrans to import their old local data (via an image file) into their new domain signon I get the message 'My Documents Partially succeeded (Probably because the current user doesn't have permissions). In fact no data is imported, so 'Partially' is incorrect.

I'm running PCTrans as an administrator, but still get the problem. How do I fix this problem?

Hi,

I have the exact same problem...

Can you explain me how to solve it or at least how to browse the pct file to restore it file by file ?

Thanks,

JF

Hi jfl@mafact,

Did you log in the target computer with administrator account the last time? If not, please give it a shot and let us have the result.

However, if the issue persists, please let us know your location and specific available time. We will arrange a remote session to help you.

Not as administrator, but as an domain user wich is also a local administratror.

I also tried running PcTrans as administrator with no luck.

May I have to try it with the local administrator account ?

Thanks,

It's actually 15h05 here in Belgium.

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your reply.

Please give it a try to login with the local administrator account then let us know the result.
