Image reserve strategy

Postby Ryrynz » Wed Dec 14, 2016 6:04 am

What I'd ideally like to do is have one full back up at the start of the month and have incremental back ups for every other day.
I haven't found a way to do this though.

This is the most common scenario. Select MONTHLY BACKUP as the schedule, and INCREMENTAL BACKUP as the type. On the calendar that is displayed, select every one of the 31 days, and down further, there should be a checkbox for doing a FULL BACKUP as the first backup of the month.

That will give you what you wanted. Now, the reserve strategy is something additional. That strategy says how may backup cycles (i.e. months) you should keep before starting to recycle the older backups (to save space on your backup device).

How do I stop this from happening? It appears to be a bug, as I've always needed to delete my old full backups..

I've got it set to preserve no more than 1 Month(s)
So why's it doing this?

Hi Ryrynz,

If you reserve backup images no more than 1 month, our software will delete the first month's backup images when all the second month's backup images are created.
