I was using Partition Manager to divide up an external hard-drive, all was looking good, it progressed as expected.
Then on looking at the 'my computer' window, I noticed that 4 of my hard drives had dissapeared. On opening up disk management, these drives now all show as unallocated. This is around 3.25 Tb of data missing please help. By the way drives were formatted as NTSC and the os is Vista 32

Dear freekie,
We are sorry for this.
Please do not do any operations (partition/format/write) to the four hard drives.
Do you mean you divide up the external hard drive successfully but the 4 internal hard drives are damaged? Does your operating system Vista 32 locate on another hard disk and you can login the operating system?
If so and you can login the operating system, we need more information to analyze your problem.
Please download EASEUSReporter.zip, unzip it, run EASEUSReporter.exe in the EASEUSReporter folder and send Report.zip as attachment to us.
The follow is the operation process:
Click "Next"->"I accept this agreement"->"Next"->"Select iffy disks or partitions"->"Next"->"Send".
You can also send Report.txt as attachment to us manually (you will find Report.txt in the EASEUSReporter folder after you finish running EASEUSReporter.exe ).
Here is the download link:
http://www.easeus-software.com/download/EASEUSReporter.zip
In addition, please send us the screenshot of Disk Management and tell us which hard disks are damaged. We will give you a way to recover them
Thank you for your cooperation.
As always, we recommend you to backup your system and disk with our Free Backup software - EASEUS Todo Backup (http://www.todo-backup.com).
Sincerely,

1) Yes, the external drive partitioned fine.
2) My operating system is on an unaffected drive so it is still ok.
3) I have e-mailed a copy of the report created to yourselves as requested. Unfortunatly it is too large to include as an attachment to this post.
4) Attached is the disk management screenshot.
5) Drives 0,4,5,6 are the damaged drives.
Fingers crossed that you have a solution to my problem.

Dear freekie,
Thank you for your report. We have received your attachment in the email.
Please do not do any operation (partition/format/write) on the drives 0,4,5,6 before you recover all your data.
Do you use Windows Vista? If so, please download the demo version of Data Recovery Wizard to check whether it can help you to recover the data.
http://www.easeus.com/datarecoverywizard/
Please use "Partition Recovery" mode to do the recovery.

Please tell us the results. Thank you for your cooperation.
As always, we recommend you to backup your system and disk with our Free Backup software - EASEUS Todo Backup (http://www.todo-backup.com).

Dear microgood,
Thanks for the reply
The demo version of Data Recovery Wizard has found the files on the first drive, although it will not let me save them.
I am currently scanning the second drive.
I am begining to relax a little, all may not be lost.

Dear freekie,
We are glad to know that the relevant demo version can help you.
After searching, there will be the files list, select a file, click 'Preview File'; unless file is corrupt, you can view it before recovery. (.doc, .xls, .txt, .jpg, .bmp, etc. can be previewed).
By the way, when you finish scanning a drive, please close Data Recovery Wizard, you would find some .rdf files in the installation folder. Don’t continue to scan the next drive, because it will lead to cover the .rdf files of the last drive.
After you have purchased the full version, you can use the scan results without searching again. Here is HOW:
1. Please get into the installation folder of demo version program and locate all the .rdf files.
2. Copy ALL these .rdf files and paste them to a healthy space for a temporary storage.
3. Please uninstall the demo version and install the full version
4. Copy and paste all the .rdf files back into the installation folder of the full version.
5. Then run the full version program and select the same recovery module. You will find an option "Previous Recovery". Please select it to continue previous recovery.
We have responded to your problem by email. Please check it.
As always, we recommend you to backup your system and disk with our Free Backup software - EASEUS Todo Backup (http://www.todo-backup.com).

Currently recovering the last drive. All seems to be going well so far. Just a long process. It is a lot of data . The only problem that I have encountered is that any Japanese characters in the file name are replaced with _
Thank you very much for your help, and I can fully recomend your recovery software to anyone.
If there is any information that I can give to help you find the initial cause of the problem please feel free to ask.

Dear freekie,
We are glad to know our product can solve your problem.
If you recovered the data with English Edition operation system, then the Japanese characters in the file name were replaced with _.
We suggest you recover the data under Japanese Edition operation system, and then the file names will be recovered correctly.
On the other hand, if the lost files are partly damaged/ corrupted, our program cannot recover the original file names either.
As always, we recommend you to backup your system and disk with our Free Backup software - EASEUS Todo Backup (http://www.todo-backup.com).
