|

Hello, I am new to the software. Thank you for providing it for free.
I elected to change the drive letter of a cloned system drive (i.e., C.)
I had previously cloned it to F:, and now set the system to boot from F:.
Once Windows booted up from F:, I elected to change the C: drive (no longer bootable) to drive R:. It has now been several hours since I rebooted, and Windows displays the "Welcome to XP" screen; there is drive activity.
How long should the process take once the system has rebooted?
Both drives are SATA, and the BIOS allows choosing which physical drive to boot from (not by drive letter).
Regards,
Winter |

Dear winter,
We are sorry for your problem.
If the C: drive was changed to drive R: ,your computer still booted from the C: drive. Because you just changed the drive letter simply ,the boot configuration still pointed to the C:drive.
Please disconnect one of the two disks(the source disk and the destination disk) and boot, otherwise, it will cause bootable problem.
In your case, we suggest you modify the drive R to drive C.
As always, we recommend you to backup your system and disk with our Free Backup software - EASEUS Todo Backup (http://www.todo-backup.com).
Sincerely,
